Jennifer Powell has been a dedicated real estate agent with Sonoma Properties for more than 20 years, serving in both property management and sales. Originally from a small town in Minnesota, she began her career as a recruiter, a role that honed her skills in problem-solving and navigating a variety of perspectives. Her move to Sonoma marked a turning point, as she earned her real estate license and began building the career she continues to succeed in today. Jennifer has carried the adaptability and people-focused skills from her recruiting career into her long-standing work in real estate. Passionate about delivering exceptional service, she is committed to helping each client achieve their real estate goals with care and professionalism.


Jennifer holds her Realtor affiliation, is a member of CAA (California Apartment Association), is a professional member of NARPM (National Association of Property Managers) and is working on obtaining her RMP designation within the organization.

Julie Pruitt

Bookkeeper/Licensed Agent

Born and raised in Sonoma, Julie has been working for Sonoma Properties since 2012, after graduating from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She started as a bookkeeper, but after obtaining her real estate license in 2016, she gained the title of property manager as well. Before starting with Sonoma Properties, Julie's journey included earning degrees in theology and child development, in addition to history, and she was employed as a preschool teaching assistant, then preschool teacher, for several years. Her educational and career background has helped to cultivate analytical and communication skills needed day to day. It is her goal to serve the Sonoma community with both kindness and diligence.

Kasandra Lopez Avila

Kasandra joined Sonoma Properties in 2023, starting as an administrative assistant and earning her real estate license in 2025. With over 10 years of customer service experience and a background as a licensed insurance agent, she brings strong communication skills and a passion for helping people in property management. Composed and eager to learn, Kasandra is like a sponge—always absorbing new knowledge and skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she enjoys connecting with clients and guiding them through every step of the process.

Brandon Alavez

Administrative Assistant

Brandon's career in property management has been developed from the ground up, starting with hands-on experience in leasing and administration. He then specialized as a Maintenance Coordinator, where he became an expert in managing repairs, overseeing all work orders, and troubleshooting a variety of issues for residents.


Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is committed to using his skills to ensure a seamless and reliable experience for every property owner and resident.
